We will have presentation boards describing the major changes made to the Draft Zoning Resolution. Once feedback from this event is processed and incorporated via discussion with the Steering Committee, the Adoption process will begin in November.
Can’t make it to this event? There will be additional public meetings to follow during the Adoption process including review by the County Commissioners.
The Miami County Zoning Survey was closed on September 14th. The survey was open for 1 month and received 4 individual responses. If you would like to submit questions or comments from this point forward, please email Director of the Department of Development: Dan Suerdieck.
Draft Zoning Resolution Review
The County is currently updating its Zoning Resolution to modernize regulations and better reflect community goals and development priorities.
A draft of the updated Resolution is available for public review at the links below. These drafts are working documents and may continue to change throughout the process.
Community members are encouraged to review materials and provide comments to County staff and participate in the review process as updates progress.

The Miami County Zoning Resolution is a document that provides specific rules surrounding land use and development throughout the County, including what uses are permitted, development standards, and other requirements.
The Zoning Resolution update is a collaborative effort between Miami County and its residents and community stakeholders. Your input is critical to a successful update of the regulations!
